Directions to Pontchartrain Landing

Pontchartrain Landing is located at 6001 France Road, New Orleans, LA 70126

The ships are working on a tight schedule with the bridges at the Lake so allow plenty of time to get to Pontchartrain Landing and park.  It is a few minutes’ walk from the parking area to the dock.  Both Lynx and When & If will board and depart together on schedule.

Driving from New Orleans headed east on I-10 toward the Industrial Canal.
Take the second Louisa Drive exit, Exit 239B. Take a left on Louisa Drive headed north then right at the second light (about 0.2 miles) onto Chef Menteur Hwy, (aka Hwy 90 and Gentilly Blvd.). Stay in the right-hand lane on Chef Menteur, and do not go over the Industrial Canal bridge. Take a left onto France Road which will pass under the bridge approach road headed north toward Lake Pontchartrain. Continue 1.25 miles to the Pontchartrain Landing entrance. There will be signs directing you to the Tall Ships parking area.

PLEASE NOTE: The above directions headed east are different than your GPS directions.  If you follow your GPS maps, it will take you to France Road via the first Louisa Drive exit (239A) where you will have to cross railroad tracks.  There are trains working in and out of a switch yard nearby and can block France Road. This can cause a delay of over 30 minutes, and you may miss the scheduled departure of Lynx or When & If.

Driving from New Orleans East headed west on I-10 toward the Industrial Canal.
Take the Chef Menteur exit, Exit 240B, and then right onto Chef Menteur Hwy. Stay in the right hand lane.  Cross the Industrial Canal bridge and take the France Rd. exit. At the foot of the exit turn left onto France Rd. heading north toward Lake Pontchartrain. Continue 1.25 miles to the Pontchartrain Landing entrance. There will be signs directing you to the Tall Ships parking area.
